Having proven that First Nations and Industry can form a successful partnership, the community as a whole is active in landscape issues, and in ensuring that the needs of West Chilcotin Forest Products Ltd. mesh with the needs of all resource users. Ongoing projects such as furbearer studies, pine mushroom research, repressed pine fertilization, juvenile spacing, and preliminary growth and yield work are bringing a more rounded approach to forestry in the Anahim area, while main phase contractors have shown much flexibility in their efforts to deal with the challenges presented by the mountain pine beetle.

Yun Ka Whu'ten Holdings Ltd. is a company owned and operated by the Ulkatcho First Nations. The primary goal of Yun Ka Whu'ten Holdings Ltd. is to further the social, economic and educational benefits of the Ulkatcho people. The Joint Venture has enabled Yun Ka Whu'ten Holdings Ltd. to prepare the framework within which the Band can work towards achieving their goals in a positive working environment. Carrier-Chilcotin Ventures Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Carrier Lumber Ltd. of Prince George. This company has considerable experience in forest operations and manufacturing of forest products.
