Because of the climate and short growing season on the Chilcotin Plateau, the trees in this country tend to have very close-set growth rings. This results in a very strong, dense, wood that makes some of the finest lumber in the world. It is in high demand throughout North America and Japan.

West Chilcotin Forest Products Ltd. produces white wood chips from our sawmill operation. All unused white wood from our sawyer after debarking passes through a chipping unit to create a standard size wood chip used in the production of wood pulp for the manufacture of paper. Our chips are considered to be among the best quality in the industry.

West Chilcotin Forest Products Ltd. manufactures 1" lumber as well as 2x3, 2x4, and 2x6 Stud Grade and J Grade lumber up to 9' in length.
We also produce 4x4, 3" & 4" small cutting, 6" timbers and railway ties.
